The Minister for Women, the Hon Jane Howlett MLC, has announced the release of a public survey to inform the development of the new Tasmanian Women’s Strategy 2022-25.

The survey was first conducted in 2017 and received 1300 responses. This survey expands the previous survey with questions about women’s experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, and asks extra questions about women’s experiences with the health sector. They have also expanded the general demographic information section to align with questions around gender and sexuality asked in the recent LGBTQI+ Community Survey, also run by Communities Tasmania.

Running the survey a second time provides the Tasmanian Government with an opportunity to identify emerging trends, and will help focus implementation toward priority areas.

The survey is available via the Women in Tasmania website (Women in Tasmania) or directly at the Survey Monkey link: Tasmanian Women’s Strategy 2022-2025 Public Survey (surveymonkey.com)
